94TH AERO SQUADRON - 1918
Documents the activities of the first American air squadron based in France in World War I. The “Hat In Ring” insignia was used to commemorate the United States entry into WWI by taking the phrase of tossing one's “hat in the ring”, a boxing phrase to signify one's willingness to become a challenger.
